Born in Los Angeles, raised in Hawaii and San Carlos, CA; attended U.C.S.B. (B.A. Zoology, 1969), U.C.S.F. School of Dentistry (B.S., D.D.S., 1974), and University of Washington School of Dentistry (Endodontics certificate, M.S.D., 1978). Served in the U.S. Army, Ft. Riley, KS, 1974-76, acting head of Endodontics 1975-76. Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics, 1991. Private practice 1978-2021; part-time practice 2023-present.
